Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is responsible for providing leadership to the WIB. It will act on behalf of the full board between meetings when such action is necessary.

Operations & Oversight Committee

The Operations & Oversight Committee provides recommendations to the Executive Committee and/or the full Board on matters relating to the WIA services and operation delivered through Alexandria JobLink and Arlington Employment Center. This committee also provides oversight to activities such as recommending training providers, conducting yearly on-site assessments of the One-Stop delivery system, and fiscal management of WIA funds.

Youth Council

The Youth Council develops and coordinates policies and guidance for youth employment and job-training initiatives in the City of Alexandria and Arlington County.

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee is responsible for initial submission and ongoing recertifying of LWIA 12’s CEDS to the US Economic Development Administration.
